The cast of ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home‘ is growing as J.B. Smoove has just been captured in its web of casting for the film. Being a Marvel studios film means that we have no idea which character the actor will be playing quite yet, but this ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ star is said to have “a lead in the ensemble.” As Jake Gyllenhaal is said to be playing Mysterio in the movie, we know that the main villain has already been cast so unless a secondary one is being included a reasonable guess could be that Smoove would be a teacher or something along those lines.
It should be noted that Smoove as a teacher wouldn’t be entirely out of the realm of possibility as Tom Holland did play Peter Parker in an Audi commercial where Smoove played his driving instructor. This could make the interaction in the commercial canon if they decide to have the actor play the same role.
It is rumored that Parker will be taking a summer vacation in Europe in the film so if the trip isn’t a school sponsored one, this theory could be thrown right out the window. With multiple actors from the original movie expected to return including a rumor of Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes, we could see at least part of the film still taking place in New York. If the trip is a school-sponsored vacation, it could easily help bring Zendaya back as M.J. and there is a chance Marisa Tomei’s May Parker could come along to chaperone the trip.
