Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe know by now to keep their eyes out for the infamous Stan Lee cameo. But when it comes to the Netflix side of things, Lee is sometimes harder to spot. Lee has been moonlighting as Captain Irving Forbush for Netflix, playing an NYC police captain whose face appears on posters and billboards in various Marvel Netflix series. However, some eagle-eyed fans spotted Lee in what appears to be a new occupation. Check out the image below!

Marvel fans on Reddit spotted a scene in ‘Luke Cage’ Season 2 with Lee’s face (as Forbush) on an ad that appears to present the character as a lawyer rather than a member of law enforcement.

The connection between Lee and his Forbush character is an extremely deep cut in Marvel history that goes back to the 1950s. Forbush was a parody of a Marvel Comics employee created by Lee and served as a comic relief character. He appeared in Marvel’s satire series ‘Snafu’ and later took on superhero persona Forbush-Man.

‘Luke Cage’ Season 2 is now streaming on Netflix. Other Marvel streaming projects in the works include ‘Iron Fist’ Season 2 which is still awaiting a release date and ‘The Punisher’ Season 2 which is currently in production.

This gritty, action-packed drama follows the evolution of Luke Cage (Mike Colter), a man with super strength and unbreakable skin caused by a sabotaged experiment. After a failed relationship with fellow superhero Jessica Jones, Cage tries to rebuild a quiet life in Harlem, New York –until he is pulled out of the shadows and forced into a battle for his city. Along the way, Cage cannot avoid confronting his past, which he has worked hard to bury. ‘Marvel’s Luke Cage’ is the third show in the Netflix-original Defenders series.
