Disenchantment

Matt Groening of ‘Futurama’ and ‘The Simpsons’ is back at it with a brand new animated series! The setting of this show is vastly different from the futuristic and suburban settings of his other creations, as ‘Disenchantment’ takes us on a trip back to the past!

New Netflix series ‘Disenchantment’ is set in the medieval kingdom of Dreamland and follows boozy princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson), her elf friend Elfo (Nat Faxon), and her personal demon Luci (Eric Andre). The show follows the trio as they go on adventures and battle “ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.”

The first teaser for ‘Disenchantment’ has been released, and features Bean dealing with some family trouble and not exactly feeling the love from her father, the king of Dreamland.

Netflix has signed on for 10 episodes of the show, which also features John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery voicing characters for the series.

In ‘Disenchantment,’ viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.

‘Disenchantment’ premieres on Netflix on August 17. Check out the teaser trailer below!
