Hot on the heels of the first trailer for ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ an in-depth synopsis of the film has been released which has given us more details than just about anything else as to what we can expect from the film. We’ve learned that it will have been four years since ‘Jurassic World‘ and we get details on where many of the main characters are in their lives. Making $1.6 billion at the box office made it clear that a sequel was coming and hopefully this will be able to deliver on the fun and quality of the first installment of the current story, ideally even raising it in a few areas which were hit with complaints after the novelty of the film wore off.

It’s been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.
When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

Rumors have been running rampant for years now that there would be a military operation trying to use the dinosaurs as weapons which furthered the plot elements laid out in ‘Jurassic World’ and these new details may very well confirm that.
