The PR Hype Machine is slowly firing up for December’s ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi.’  We find ourselves only about six weeks away from the film’s premiere, so expect much ado about Rey, Luke, Leia, and the whole gang in the weeks to come.  Tonight during the World Series, Disney subtly dropped a new TV spot for the movie.

Featuring mostly recycled footage from the previous trailer we were given not too long ago, there are some notable new images.  Most prominent, of course, takes place in the first few seconds, as Luke Skywalker finds himself back in a very familiar cockpit.  Take a look for yourself:

As with much of the imagery we’ve been given about the film so far, there’s an emphasis on the light side of the Force versus the dark side, along with Kylo Ren and his relationship to Rey.  We also get a quick look at what appears to be Supreme Leader Snoke’s throne room – but once again, it’s an agonizingly vague visual of Snoke himself.  The latter is obviously intentional, meaning that we will likely have to wait to get a good, direct, non-holographic look at the evil leader until the actual movie itself.

Directed by Rian Johnson, ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Billie Lourd, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Benicio Del Toro, Andy Serkis, Laura Dern, Lupita Nyong’o, Warwick Davis, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, and Jimmy Vee.

‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ will be released in US theaters on December 15, 2017.
