Marvel and parent company Disney came prepared to give the fans at the D23 Expo what they wanted: new info and footage from ‘The Avengers: Infinity War’ film, the beginning of the climactic conclusion to the last 10 years or so of Marvel Cinematic Films.  The crowd that got to see the new footage, understandably, went bonkers.  Fortunately for those of us who couldn’t be present, Disney and Marvel also gave us some cool stuff on the expo show floor that they did share online as well – things that give us a little bit of insight into the film.

First up, Thanos on-screen portrayer Josh Brolin himself showed off a fairly ginormous Infinity Gauntlet – a gauntlet that not only had all five Infinity Stones attached and intact, but a gauntlet that was looking much more detailed and intricate that we’ve seen in the MCU films previously.  Take a peek:

It’s important to note here that no official word seems to have been given at the show if this is a screen-used prop or a retail replica that may have taken liberties with the visual presentation of the film version.

Next, we’ve got a cool photo of statues of Thanos and what tweets from official Marvel folk are calling the “Children of Thanos,” otherwise known in Marvel lore as The Black Order.  Much like Gamora and Nebula, it would appear that these aliens are not the biological progeny of the Mad Titan, but rather members of different species that were raised by Thanos to serve him.  Have a look-see:

From left to right, we appear to have Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, and Black Dwarf.  From Wikipedia, here are the characters’ descriptions:

Corvus Glaive – Thanos’ most favored general who has enhanced strength, speed, durability, and endurance and uses a bladed pike which can cut through anything. When Corvus Glaive has the bladed pike in his hand, it makes him immortal.

Proxima Midnight – A member of the Black Order and the wife of Corvus Glaive who is a master hand-to-hand combatant, has super-strength and is nigh impervious. Her lance transforms into unavoidable toxic light beams.

Ebony Maw – A member of the Black Order who has genius-level intellect, specializes in persuasion. Utilizes a teleportation device and force field generator.

Black Dwarf – A member of the Black Order who has super-strength, enhanced density, and impenetrable skin. He is the brother of Corvus Glaive.

We’ll bring you more info on ‘Infinity War’ info from the D23 Expo as we receive it!

‘The Avengers: Infinity War’ is scheduled to preimere in US theaters on May 4, 2018.
