It looks like Netflix is expanding their connective tissue once more as we’ve learned that Geoffrey Cantor’s Ellison will be appearing in ‘The Punisher‘. This journalist who gave Ben Urich such a hard time in the first season of ‘Daredevil‘ and eventually changed his tune and helped mentor Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page in the second season will be back once again. While it is unclear if he’ll have any face time with Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, further mentoring Page on this story, or helping to cover it himself waits to be seen.

What we have learned though is that according to IMDB we’ll be seeing Cantor playing the part in both the second and ninth episodes of the premiere season for The Punisher. At this time, he hasn’t been announced to show up in ‘The Defenders‘ which might not have room for a side story that involves the press. However, I have liked how they’ve included how the press and city officials have been viewing our heroes to a limited degree.

I suspect with only two episode appearances that we’ll mainly be seeing him further help Page’s transition to becoming an investigative reporter who is trying to put a positive spin on Frank Castle. Or, warning her against getting too close to the man who has launched a war on crime as anyone close to him will likely be in danger.

Cantor will be joining a cast that includes Bernthal, Woll, Jason R. Moore, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Michael Nathanson. The 13-episode run is said to debut this November after we see ‘The Defenders’ save New York from The Hand.

Are you happy to hear that there will be more connective tissue between ‘The Punisher’ and the Netflix shows that we’ve already seen? Who else would you like to see make an appearance? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
