Two weeks ago we heard a rumor as to who Sylvestor Stallone will be playing in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′ and now that rumor has been confirmed! The details have come from production notes which have hit the Internet now that press screenings are happening for the film. I’ll be sharing the name with you as it is now public knowledge.

Yes folks, just as rumored we’ll be seeing Stallone play Stakar who is better known to fans of Marvel Comics as Starhawk. Stallone gave the details away in the following interview quote:

For those unfamiliar with the character, Starhawk is a character who is reincarnated in his own infant body countless time so that everytime he lives he knows more about what is to happen. However, he was one of the 31st-century Guardians so apparently, his story arc will change for being created for Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. Also, he has the nifty powers of being invulnerable, has energy manipulation, and can fly. At least in the comics, he does as we still have to see what he can do here.

Are you happy to hear that Starhawk is finally making it to the big screen in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′? What are your thoughts on a new take on this classic cosmic character? Share your thoughts below True Believers!

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′ starring Chris Pratt, Zoë Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Pom Klementieff, Kurt Russell, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, and Glenn Close takes off on May 5, 2017.
