It seems that there is some big news just released in regards to ‘Thor: Ragnarok,’ revealed as part of a press release for Disney fans to commemorate the start of the New Year. So first off, here’s the note from the official Disney Fan Club, D23, to all fans letting them know what’s coming up in 2017:

We’ve all been obsessed with Baby Groot since he danced his way into our hearts in 2014, and now we can finally watch our favorite tiny, talking plant save the galaxy with his gang of unlikely heroes when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 zooms into theaters in May. If you need even more intergalactic, world-saving action, Thor: Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new. Of course, we can’t talk about fighting off bad guys in space without mentioning a certain movie about the war in the stars… We may have wait until December, but Star Wars: Episode VIII will finally reveal what happens next to our favorite characters from The Force Awakens.

So the news comes in the fact that ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is described as bringing together Thor, The Hulk AND Doctor Strange, meaning that the tease at the end of ‘Doctor Strange’ was potentially setting up more than just a quick cameo in the film for the Sorcerer Supreme. I personally thought that we would maybe just see Strange in the prologue or briefly in the middle of the film when Thor and Loki stopped in New York to look for Odin, but this makes it seems as though Strange will be there for much more of the movie, which makes ‘Ragnarok’ seem much more exciting, and much more epic. Especially since we know that Thor, of all the MCU heroes, is the most well-versed about the Infinity Stones, and if he recognizes the Time Stone around Strange’s neck, it could cause some serious drama for the characters if Thor decides the stone is not safe in the Sorcerer’s hands.
