rogue-one

We’ve known a lot about ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘ so far but until tickets went on sale this morning we did not know the run time. Now we know that the first Star Wars standalone film is set to click in for 133 minutes of a fun filled intergalactic heist story that will give the Rebels the plans for the Death Star and lead directly into ‘A New Hope’. This puts the story right in line with the other films as the first trilogy ran 121, 124, and 131 minutes respectively while the prequel trilogy clocked in at 133, 142, and 140 minutes with ‘The Force Awakens’ running 135 minutes long.

It is absolutely good news that the stand-alone films will also be given the same amount of screentime as the trilogies,  as fans who want to see more adventures set in a universe far far away will really want these stories as fleshed out as possible.

As mentioned above, tickets have already gone on sale for the film so I’d snag them as soon as possible, as many theaters were already sold out. I suspect more showings will be opening up but in case they don’t, you’ll want to snag them while you can.

If you haven’t fully committed to checking out the film as of yet, possibly this new trailer will win you over! Titled “Trust” it gives a few pieces of new footage combined with the video that we’ve already seen and shows off many of the faces we’ll be seeing in the film!

I’m already sold on the film but that is a nice strong sneak peak to end the new advertisements with.

Are you looking forward to checking out ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’? Do you already have tickets? Share your thoughts below!
