The first season of Amazon’s original series ‘The Man in the High Castle‘ debuted last year to widespread acclaim, and based on everything we’ve seen so far, the second season seems set to continue the trend. Adapted from Phillip K Dick’s 1962 novel of the same name, ‘The Man in the High Castle’ explores an alternate history in which the Unites States lost the Second World War.

With the second season set to begin in just over a month, we’re getting into the home stretch for the show’s pre-season promotion. With that being the case, Amazon has hit fans of the show with a double whammy this weekend. In addition to a set of still images, they’ve also released a video preview of the first episode. But this is no ordinary trailer. Rather, the video consists of the first two minutes of the season premiere, which includes a somewhat… different version of the Pledge of Allegiance. You can check out the preview here:

From the second season’s official summary:

Season two resumes with Juliana Crain facing the consequences of her decision to betray the Resistance and allow Joe Blake, a suspected Nazi agent, to escape the Pacific States with a film originally bound for the Man in the High Castle. Joe himself returns a hero to the Reich and finds himself thrust into the Nazi capital of Berlin, face to face with the father who abandoned him. Meanwhile, Frank Frink becomes increasingly radicalized and drawn further into the Resistance after seeing images of his own execution in the mysterious films.

With political tensions mounting between Germany and Japan, Trade Minister Tagomi begins to regret his success in smuggling nuclear technology from the Reich and seeks solace in the strange new world he discovered at the end of season one. Meanwhile, Obergruppenfuhrer John Smith struggles to reconcile the values of the Reich with the deteriorating health of his son – all while tasked with a mission from the Fuhrer for which failure is not an option. And Chief Inspector Kido begins to take greater interest in the Man in the High Castle, the films, and how Juliana Crain is connected to it all…

In addition to the video, Amazon has also released the following preview images, apparently stills from the episode:
