We knew that Tony Stark would have a role in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming‘ and now it seems to be even bigger as he’ll be bringing along his best bud, Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau)! This will be the first time that Favreau is showing up in a non-‘Iron Man’ movie though details from Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are slim. It is hard to say if he’ll be in it for little more than a cameo alongside Robert Downey Jr. or if he’ll have a more active role as he had in ‘Iron Man 3’ as a secondary character.

Last we saw of the director and actor he was recovering after surviving quite the explosion in ‘Iron Man 3’ though was already on the road to recovery as you can see here.

Now it seems that he’ll be back in the saddle with Tony. Prior to that Favreau had directed the first two ‘Iron Man’ films. It’s hard to say if he’ll have a corporate, driver, or security role in the film but we can be sure to get at least one great one-liner from him.

No words on Gwyneth Paltrow showing up as Pepper Potts at all though I feel it unlikely that we’ll see her returning to Marvel’s Cinematic Universe at any point soon unless Tony Stark dies and she gets a cameo at his funeral.

Are you happy to hear that we’ll be seeing Jon Favreau reprise his role as Happy Hogan in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’? How big of a part do you feel that he’ll have in the film? Share your thoughts below!

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Martin Starr, Logan Marshall-Green, Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress, Kenneth Choi, Angourie Rice, Tyron Woodley, and Robert Downey Jr. hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
