american-horror-story-6

Thanks to a contest by FX, we already know which of the six promo teasers for the sixth season of ‘American Horror Story‘ might be real and these latest 3 aren’t them. We had learned that only one of the teasers being released would be real while the rest would be misdirection so while it is fun to see what their marketing department has put together, the above-mentioned contest really ruined it for viewers. That being said, they are still a thrill to watch. One of them is a clear tribute to a quite famous horror franchise which was only successful due to its first movie and the others were some freaky little bonus ideas.

Let’s take a look!

First up, the Stephen King ‘Children of the Corn’ tribute teaser.

Titled “The Lesson” it clearly is a throwback to the short story and movies that followed. While it seems unlikely that the network would base a season off of any of King’s works, this could be a great one to see it happen with.

The second promo is “Bathing Beauty” which shows us a woman with quite long hair washing up. Things aren’t always quite what they seem though when she turns around…

The final promo trailer is “Pitch a Fit” which has a woman dragging a pitchfork through something. Blood or gore or alien goo we really have no idea what she’s up to.

While all three of these are fun, as only one of the promos for the upcoming season is apparently real, we’ve already been given six to choose from for a contest by FX so anything new that comes out is likely just eye candy at this point.

Are you looking forward to the sixth season of ‘American Horror Story’? Which one of these teasers would you like the season to be based on if the contest was just meant to troll the audience? Share your thoughts below!

Murder. Madness. Magic. Misfits. Mayhem… Mystery? The next chapter of ‘American Horror Story’ opens 9/14 on FX.
