Quick warning to anyone who has not seen ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ there are some major SPOILERS ahead. Read at your own peril.

Anyways, with Snyder and company deciding to wedge the ‘Death of Superman’ story into the ‘Batman V Superman’ film, fans have been left wondering how exactly old Supes is gonna make a comeback in time to be useful in the ‘Justice League’ movie coming out in November of 2017, and it seems we might just have a piece of the answer to that question now, thanks to the actor portraying the Man of Steel, Henry Cavill.

In the above Instagram post, we see a small section of the Superman costume (right near the corner of the main chest logo) done entirely in black. Why is this significant? Well as long as it is not just some fancy filter dropping all of the color out of the costume he wore in ‘Batman V Superman,’ this could be Henry Cavill teasing that Superman will be wearing the all black “solar suit” in ‘Justice League’ that he wore in the comics while recovering from his “death.” In the comics, even after Superman was resurrected, he was still not at 100% strength, so he wore this special black suit that sucked in solar radiation and rapidly recharged his powers, thus allowing him to go out and fight as Superman. If this is the case, than Superman will be radically de-powered for his first return to battle in ‘Justice League,’ which might actually help the stakes of the movie as he will not be there to help them with his invincible strength.

What are your thoughts on the black suit? Are you excited to see it? Or do you think it is too complicated an idea, and do not want to see any more screen time wasted on the death and resurrection of Superman storyline? Share your opinions in the comments below!
