With all the secrecy surrounding the plot of the upcoming ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,’ fans are eager to find any hint of what is to come, from any source imaginable. Of course, when the source comes from Disney, the owner of Lucasfilm and ‘Star Wars’ these days, fans get even more excited hoping what they have learned is true. The source of the latest bit of information about ‘The Force Awakens’ comes to us from the release of the ‘Force Awakens’ Play Set for ‘Disney Infinity 3.0,’ which features Finn and Rey. The playset includes the following description, which sheds some light on the upcoming film:
“Return to a galaxy far, far away alongside new heroes and old friends as they search for a much needed ally. – FINN: A soldier on a path to adventure and danger. – REY: A true survivor who is resourceful and capable.”
Sure, it may not seem like much at first glance, but it says a lot when you stop and think about it. Everyone has been asking “Where is Luke Skywalker?” with some even guessing that he might be the villainous Kylo Ren, but now, thanks to this description, we know we are not the only ones looking for Luke. The part about “as they search for a much needed ally” clearly points to the heroes of the film looking for an ally in their war against the First Order and the Dark Side users associated with it, which could mean a good part of the film could be the main characters looking for Luke Skywalker, who they believe can help them fight the dark Force users. Sure, nothing is for certain just yet, but it does make sense.
What are your thoughts on the description? Do you still think Luke could be the villain? Or do you agree that he is missing and the characters in the film will be looking for him? Share your theories below!
