Even if Kit Harington hadn’t been seen on and near the Belfast set in full Jon Snow garb everyone was expecting him to return to ‘Game of Thrones‘ and the latest promotional poster for the sixth season teases just that! Winter is coming and with it will be the return of one of the series’ favorite characters who was taken far too early. Of course with anything written by George R.R. Martin, everyone now knows that any major character that you become attached to has a chance of dying.

Either way, it will be interesting to see how Snow ends up in the land of the living after how brutally he was betrayed and stabbed by The Night’s Watch at the end of the fifth season. My money is on Melisandre bringing him back from the dead or saving him at the last moment before death as the Lord of Light has plans for him. Of course, he also had plans for Stannis prior to that so I’m not sure how comfortable I would feel if I was Snow and back alive.

Hopefully with this tease we won’t be having to wait for half a season to see it happen. Speaking of the tease, here is the full image that shows that ‘Game of Thrones’ will be returning in April!

No more worries about the show not dropping until ‘Winds of Winter‘ is released and it looks as if the shoe will be on the other foot on who is getting spoilers for a change as the book readers will now be behind the times.

Of course while we’re happy to know that Jon will officially be back in some form or another it isn’t everyone that feels great about it. Certain other parties might think that it wasn’t handled quite right. Specifically ones that tried to keep all promotional material about one of their own fake out deaths which just recently happened.

However with both of these major television franchises not having official announcements on either character’s death, it was always a matter of time on when they would return. Both are series that are willing to kill off their major characters but both weren’t able to keep either of what was going to happen a secret and kept the suspense low because of it.
