After Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is left behind on the desolate planet Mars, he must figure out a way to ration his meager stash of food until he can either escape or be rescued.  Luckily, he just happens to be a botanist. If anyone has a hope of growing something on a planet where nothing grows, it’s him.

In this latest clip from ‘The Martian‘, Watney records a video journal in which he discusses how he intends to survive all alone in this hostile environment.

Directed by Ridley Scott, ‘The Martian’ is based on the best selling book by Andy Weir.  The film stars Damon, Jessica Chastain, Jeff Daniels, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Michael Peña and Donald Glover.
