Two new character introductions have happened for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ a little early. While they would have been shown off during the Force Friday event when all of the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ toys are revealed, these two seemed to make it online before the rest. While you’ll see them pop up again in the 18-hour live unboxing event, today we can share with you the characters Sarco Plank and Asty. Plant has previously shown up on a set photo from ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ though this is our first look at Asty.
First let’s have a look up close and personal at the boxes these characters come in:
Plank seems to be an alien that we’ll find out the desert planet Jakku. While it is unclear if he is a low level bounty hunter, scavenger, or what kind of a role he’ll have in the film he does seem armed and ready for trouble.
The second new alien that we’re meeting here is a resistance pilot named Asty who pilots an X-Wing.
As Hasbro is known for making characters for anyone with even a minute of screen time these characters could range from being background characters in minor subplots to being major players in the films to come.
My money is on background characters. Without the character bios on the box which may or may not be read on Force Day we really won’t know if there are still huge spoilers to come or not.
