Cara Delevingne (‘Pan’,’Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’) has opened up a little on her ‘Suicide Squad‘ character. For those who are unfamiliar, Delevigne is playing DC’s Enchantress. However, the script is really making her take on the Enchantress as multiple characters and not just a single one. She explained a little about the role while promoting ‘Paper Towns’ on ‘Late Night with Seth Myers.’

According to Delevingne:

“The part I’m playing, I’m actually playing two different parts … The second act is just a dream. I’m playing opposites, a mousey kind of scientist and a crazy, feral witch, which is great. Both sides of my personality, which is nice.”

Most likely we’ll be seeing small snippets of origin stories for many of the villains in the film and this seems like a quick way to show her before and after the powers. Those familiar with the character know that a split personality is pretty fitting for her. For those unfamiliar with the character she starts as a hero, turned villain, turned member of the Suicide Squad. She is a sorceress with high levels of power with a unique sensitivity to magic. She was a young woman who inadvertently merged with a magical being known as The Enchantress. While she is in control of her body she tries to do good though while The Enchantress persona is in control she does great evil. You can liken it to if Gandalf had actually put on the One Ring in ‘Lord of the Rings.’

How this duo persona will be explained and play out on screen has yet to be revealed.
