Director Bryan Singer has opened up a whole new world within his masterful ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past,’ releasing a Director’s Cut/Extended Edition of the film that lays back in many lost plot points and characters that were left on the cutting room floor when he and his team were preparing the theatrical release for the film. So far we’ve seen hints of more scenes (romantic ones) between Beast and Mystique, but also as everyone knows, and as the new version is named, lots more story featuring Anna Paquin’s character, Rogue. In the theatrical cut, Singer made the call to cut almost all of Rogue’s scenes from the film, which must have been difficult for the man as he championed the character in his original ‘X-Men’ films and was probably looking forward to bringing her back to the mainstream in the film. Now, with ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past – The Rogue Cut,’ we can see all of the scenes with Paquin’s character, which seems to open up the story set in the future, with Magneto and Ice-Man rescuing her from what appears to be imprisonment beneath the Xavier Mansion.

Check out the teaser clip below, with an introduction by director Bryan Singer himself, and then let us know what you think of the ‘Rogue Cut’ and whether it will truly be a new experience of the film, or just an extended edition put out there by the studio to make a few more bucks based on the franchise and the notoriety of Anna Paquin and her Rogue character.

With a never-before-seen, alternate cut of the film—plus nearly 90 minutes of all-new, immersive special features, the X-Men: Days of Future Past – The Rogue Cut takes you deeper into the X-Men universe than ever before. Rogue makes her return as the all-star characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves and unite to battle armies of murderous Sentinel robots who are hunting down mutants and humans alike!
