As he has been known to do, Bryan Singer has recently been sharing a ton of behind the scenes information regarding his upcoming X-Men movie. The filmmaker has posted a number of pictures from set on his social media accounts, but he has also revealed a number of cast members joining this universe for ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ including Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, Lana Condor as Jubilee, Ben Hardy as Angel, and Olivia Munn as Psylocke. But amongst all those new faces, we knew for sure that Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, and James McAvoy since they’re basically the stars of the franchise. But now it looks like another ‘X-Men: First Class’ alum will be joining them in this post-‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ cinematic world.
According to Singer’s Instagram, Lucas Till is set to reprise his role as Havok in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse.’ Like Mystique, Magneto, Professor X, and Beast, Till’s character will have appeared in all the new X-Men films since the series was rebooted in 2011, despite a decreased role in ‘Days of Future Past.’ You can check out the announcement below:
While we’re uncertain as to how large his part will be in ‘Apocalypse,’ the most interesting thing about Alex Summers is that he’ll finally share the screen with his brother Scott Summers AKA Cyclops for the first time in the film franchise’s history. Tye Sheridan is set to portray a young Scott, so they may flip the source material and make Alex the older brother in this universe, but time will tell what Simon Kinberg and Bryan Singer have planned.
What do you think of Lucas Till returning as Havok in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’? How big do you think his role will be this time around? And are you excited about the prospect of seeing the Summers brothers onscreen together at last? Sound off in the comments.
‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
