As the Man Without Fear prepares to leap onto our Netflix queues, Marvel has been upping the ante when it comes to promoting his show. With ‘Daredevil’ set to arrive on the streaming service at the end of this week, Marvel has released a slew of new promos for the series.

Moreso than previous offerings, the final ‘Daredevil’ trailer leans heavily on the origin story, beginning with footage of Matt’s accident and training narrated by Stick (played by Scott Glenn). From there it shifts to scenes of what appears to be Matt and Foggy’s first meeting with Karen Page (shortly following the establishment of their legal practice) before focusing on Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, providing a glimpse of what seems to be a very chilling performance. This brings us to the final pair of TV spots. The first features a nod to the “iron suits and magic hammers” of Marvel’s major cinematic heroes, as well as Foggy’s meditations on justice before transitioning to the usual montage of fight scenes, closing on the previously previewed clip of Rosario Dawson’s Night Nurse remarking on how much Matt’s suit “sucks.”

The second TV spot gives us more of the Kingpin, this time focusing on the brewing conflict between him and Daredevil. While most of the footage in this spot has been featured elsewhere, what sets this one apart is the structure, particularly the way in which it intercuts between Fisk and Murdock, establishing their rivalry and hinting at the sort of interaction we can expect between the two in the course of the series.

Both spots are available to watch below:

The first of Marvel’s Netflix shows, ‘Daredevil’ will be followed over the next couple years by ‘A.K.A Jessica Jones,’ ‘Iron Fist’ and ‘Luke Cage,’ all of which will mirror Marvel’s big screen efforts by building toward a crossover event, in this case a ‘Defenders’ series.

The thirteen episode first season of ‘Daredevil’ will be available to stream in its entirety beginning on Friday, April 10th.
