CD Projekt RED has released new gameplay footage for the upcoming ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’.

Narrated by Senior Level Designer Peter Gelencser, this newest bit of gameplay footage gives players another side-quest that can be done in ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’. In it, the Witcher known as Geralt of Rivia is tasked with tasked with investigating the disappearance of some villagers who were guarding a merchant caravan. After tracking some leads, the whole thing eventually leads to a pretty epic fight against a Royal Wyvern. Definitely take a look at the video below to see the full footage.

‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ is the third entry in the critically acclaimed action-RPG series by CD Projekt RED. Taking place right after the events ‘The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings’, this newest title puts players in the shoes of Geralt of Rivia once more as he embarks on a journey to find the Child of Prophecy, a weapon that can either save or destroy the world. On top of this is also the looming threat of a mysterious army known as the Wild Hunt, who have been rampaging through the lands killing everything in its wake.

The action-RPG already features quite a bit of planned post-release DLC, with a includes a total of 16 pieces to be released periodically after the game’s launch. However, CD Projekt RED has stated that all of the DLC would be made available to fans for free.  The DLC itself is planned to be small pieces of content rather than large scale add-ons.

Initially intended for a release in Autumn 2014, ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ was delayed to a release date of February 24, 2015. However, CD Projekt RED delayed the game a second time to May 19 due to concerns over addressing its technical issues.

‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ will release on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC on May 19.
