Another week and another rumor on what to expect from ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens.’ This time up we have a new take on a major plot device we previously reported on. We don’t have all the exact details but this new rumor claims this was what was seen during filming at Pinewood Studios. While there have been quite a few rumors coming out about the film, this is one of the few that keep coming back up.

Obviously if you want to be surprised going forward I would turn back now. I do have to warn you though that if this is true, it will be a tragic blow.

In the first rumor we had a scene where Han Solo apparently was killed off protecting his son. This new description of a scene seems to confirm that death though the facts are changed around a little. While initially Luke Skywalker and Adam Driver were mentioned in the first version, this time we have a slightly different cast and explanation involved.

Here is how it breaks down according to the site Making Star Wars:

The facts are this was shot at Pinewood:

  • This sequence takes place on the ramparts of The Evil Castle.
  • Han Solo is hiding.
  • He decides to reveal himself to Kylo Renn.
  • Finn, Rey, Chewbacca and BB-8 stop in their tracks.
  • They watch as Han Solo confronts Kylo Ren. Kylo Rnn silences the conversation forever.
  • Chewbacca lets out of a barrage of angry roars and laser blasts.
  • Kylo Ren flees the scene.
  • Explosions.
  • Stormtroopers file in and Finn and Rey are forced to flee.
  • More explosions.
  • BB-8 and Chewbacca flee to the Falcon.

Han Solo is never in a scene after this. Those are the facts.

Now just to clarify while this is claimed to have been shot, it still is firmly in the rumor category. Even if it does prove to be true there is no guarantee that Han isn’t later revived by the Force or from a certain medical Bacta Tank. You remember the Bacta tanks right?

I mean, if we’re throwing out theories on how Han is going to die from sources we might as well throw out some on ways to keep him alive. Of course Harrison Ford has long said that ““I thought he should have died in the last one to give it some bottom…” and with this not being the first rumor of his demise. The more it is brought up, the more I am worried that it may just prove to be true. If he does die, at least it sounds like he’ll be going out a hero that is saving his friends.

What do you think of Solo biting the big one? Do you think he’ll be making his Kessel run from the after life here on out or will we see Solo living through all three of the new films?
