This may contain some SPOILERS for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’. If you have not read the books and want to avoid spoilers, proceed with caution.
As we’ve come to discover, although Suzanne Collins’ massively popular YA book series is technically called ‘The Hunger Games’, the titular Games are just a distraction devised by the corrupt, ruling Capitol to keep the outer districts in submission. Katniss and Peeta, the two main characters in the novels, found loopholes in the Games’ structure and their defiant actions began to crack the Capitol’s carefully fabricated facade. This illusion was completely shattered at the end of the second book/movie ‘Catching Fire’.
Now, in ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ the Games are a thing of the past… but the same may also be said for the fledgling rebellion that is rising, inspired by Katniss’ actions. The rebellion is based in the previously unrevealed District 13. Katniss had always assumed that her home, District 12, was the the outermost, but it is revealed that before she was born, there was one more District that the Capitol destroyed as a signal to the others to fall in line with their commands.
Via the ‘Hunger Games’ Facebook page, a new clip has been revealed, showing the rebels of District 13, including Katniss and her lifelong companion Gale are storming the battlefield. Katniss’ mission is two-fold, as she is seeking liberation for the Districts, but is also desperately searching for her possible true love Peeta, now a brainwashed pawn of the Capitol.

The third ‘Hunger Games’ movie is looking to be quite the hit, with ticket presales doing extremely well and early critic response trending quite strongly.
