Christopher Nolan’s much anticipated film, ‘Interstellar,’ will be in theaters this Friday and the marketing department is in full swing. Besides the trailer that was released last month, we now have 3 clips from the film to share!
The clips don’t show the immense visual effects that have been teased in the trailers and focus more on the characters, but then again, this doesn’t seem like your ordinary science fiction film. Early buzz on ‘Interstellar’ have been mixed but that doesn’t seem to hurt the box office projections.
The plot of the film is pretty basic. Earth is dying and it is up to a team of explorers to find another place for humanity to live. Here’s the official synopsis:
Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage. With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history; traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.
With ‘Interstellar’ running nearly 3 hours long (2 hours and 49 minutes to be exact), an impressive line-up of actors forming the cast, and a thought provoking storyline, it will be interesting to see how Christopher Nolan’s first non-superhero film since ‘Inception’ in 2010 fairs with movie audiences. Considering Nolan’s record so far, ‘Interstellar’ should have no problems making the studio heads happy.
