This ‘Star Trek Into Darkness‘ blooper reel won’t give you a five year mission of laughs but it does give a solid minute of non-stop laughter. While the tone of ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ could be considered lighthearted it was never an outright comedy. Of course, the cast didn’t get the memo in this minute long blooper reel that showcases them messing around and just screwing around on set.

This video is part of the new ‘Star Trek The Compendium’ which is being released that includes both of J.J. Abrams directorial takes on the franchise. While there is no new footage or material for the first film, we get the ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ IMAX footage spliced into the film. Also, there will be an additional 5 minutes of gag reel which is a bonus over that including other new features.

Clearly this is a cast that had no problem getting along.

From Chris Pine messing up lines as Kirk to the rest of the crew of the Enterprise cracking jokes and fooling around this is a minute that fans will not consider a waste.

Hilarious! I think my personal favorite part was Benedict Cumberbatch ending up portraying the ultimate critic. Which was your favorite gag shown above? Do you plan on picking up the full compendium when it is released on September 9th?

Synopsis:

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
