When J.J. Abrams first announced the ‘Force for Change‘ campaign, he revealed an alien from ‘Star Wars: Episode VII.’ This time he’s showing off the X-Wing Design. The latest update tells more about how to enter the contest for a chance to be featured in the next movie and he tells us about it from the set in London. Oh yes, and you also get to see this amazing look at a full scale practically-built X-Wing which looks as if it has already seen battle!

When looking at the X-Wing you may feel that the design isn’t quite how you remember. To be fair, it isn’t. There have been some changes to the nose, cockpit, and engines from the classic fighter.

You probably want to check out a good shot of the X-Wing so, enjoy!

Oh that silly robot getting in the way. At any rate, here is the official word from Lucasfilm when talking about the project.

All Wings Report In! On the set of Star Wars: Episode VII, Director J.J. Abrams was interrupted by an X-Wing pilot and rogue robot as he announced the chance for fans to win an advance private screening of Star Wars: Episode VII. “We are so grateful for the support that the fans from over 119 countries have shown for Force for Change,” said Abrams. “As we close this final week, we’ve added an additional prize that allows the fans the opportunity to see the movie early as a thank you for supporting such a great cause as UNICEF’s innovative, lifesaving work for children.” By contributing at any level by July 25th, participants will be eligible for all prizes including a chance to be in the movie.
