Edward Nigma, better known as The Riddler (voiced by Matthew Gray Gubler) is safely tucked away in his lair, communicating with Amanda Waller (fan-favorite CCH Pounder).  He attempts to stump her with elementary school riddles, when things go south.

The Riddler is just one of the DC villains that will take center stage in the upcoming DC animated movie ‘Batman: Assault On Arkham’ based on the video game series.  The movie’s tagline is “Get ready to root for the bad guys.”

This movie will not take place in the same continuity as ‘Justice League: War’ or ‘Son of Batman’.

“Gotham is in great danger when the government assembles a group of villains — code named the Suicide Squad — and forces them to break into Arkham Asylum to retrieve top secret information stolen by the Riddler. Things take a turn for the worse when one of the Squad members (Harley Quinn) frees the Joker, who is intent on blowing up Arkham Asylum and Gotham City. Batman must use his super hero wits and strength to thwart the wicked plans of the Joker and the Suicide Squad.”
‘Batman: Assault on Arkham’ is set for release on August 12th and sees Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) leading a voice cast that also includes Neal McDonough (Captain America: The First Avenger) as Deadshot, Troy Baker (The Last of Us) as Joker, Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds) as Riddler, CCH Pounder (The Shield) as Amanda Waller, Hynden Walch (The Batman) as Harley Quinn, Greg Ellis (24) as Captain Boomerang, and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) as Black Spider. Jay Oliva (Justice League: War) and Ethan Spaulding (Son of Batman) direct from a script by Heath Corson (Justice League: War).
