It would seem that the Disney animated Marvel flick ‘Big Hero 6‘ is quickly heading towards its November 7th release and posters below should be familiar to anyone who has seen the recent images or trailer released for the film. What I’m really curious about now, after we’ve found out that Marvel might have something ‘Alpha Flight‘ related in the works, is if this movie may sneak something in that will be a launching point for that series as the original ‘Alpha Flight’ was responsible for this team.

Still,  the look for Baymax (the giant robot) do look stunning. Take a look for yourself of the posters below followed by the synopsis of the film:

Synopsis:

With all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Big Hero 6 is an action-packed comedy-adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius—thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, neatnik Wasabi, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—and transforms the group into a band of high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action, “Big Hero 6” is directed by Don Hall (“Winnie the Pooh”) and Chris Williams (“Bolt”), and produced by Roy Conli (“Tangled”).

While I haven’t been going to see animated films on the big screen in quite some time (and have been trying to put them off again until my son is a few years older and can enjoy them), I think that this may just be one of the few exceptions to the rule. Not only does the animation look amazing, but it is also technically set in the Marvel Universe, even if probably not the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

‘Big Hero 6’ is scheduled to hit theaters in 3D on November 7, 2014.
