New York Toy Fair 2014: DC Collectibles

With New York Toy Fair 2014 kicking off this weekend, fans worldwide are waiting to see what kinds of all new goodies we can expect to be released in the coming year! DC Entertainment was so excited about some of it’s upcoming product that they jumped the gun and announced a veritable cornucopia of figures and collectibles in advance of the show itself from DC Collectibles!

This year there appears to be a little of something for everybody, with several brand new toylines announced, new statues and even a few other cool every day gaming items like a DC Universe themed chess set, dart board and pool cues!

  • Batman: The Animated Series’ Figures
    In a surprise announcement (although aren’t they all at Toy Fair?), DC Collectibles announced they will be releasing an all new highly detailed an articulated toyline based on the classic fan-favorite ‘Batman The Animated Series’. While images have only been revealed for Catwoman and Batman himself, fans can also expect to see Mr. Freeze and Two-Face in the first wave of figures!

  • ‘Son of Batman’ Figures
    While this highly anticipated straight-to-video (is that term still relevant?) animated feature can at least expect to see a few characters transformed into plastic based on the designs from this film!   • ‘Batman: Lil’ Gotham’ Figures
    In yet another unexpected turn of events, DC Collectibles announced a series of figures based on it’s hit family-friendly series ‘Batman: Lil’ Gotham’! Based on the artwork of Dustin Nguyen, these figures perfectly capture the essence of the carefree world of ‘Lil’ Gotham’ in plastic form!   • DC ‘The New 52′ Figures
    DC Collectibles continues their ongoing series of figures based on the modern designs of classic DC Characters based on their appearances in the ‘New 52′ DC Universe! The next few releases we can expect include Supergirl, Batgirl and Nightwing!DC new_52_supergirl_af

 

  • ‘Artist Spotlight: Greg Capullo’ Figures
    This next series is part of a new series of figures where each wave of figures is based on the art-style of a different artist! This upcoming wave is based on the artwork of current ‘Batman’ artist Greg Capullo! This wave consists of The Red Hood, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman and Thrasher Armor Batman!

  • ‘Infinite Crisis: The Video Game’ Figures
    Based on the all new video game of the same name, these ‘Infinite Crisis’ figures are alternate versions of fan favorite characters from various realities! This first wave of figures will consist of Atomic Green Lantern, Atomic Poison Ivy and Pajama Harley Quinn, amongst others.DC infinite_crisis_pajama_hq

 

  • DC Universe ‘Wood’ Figures
    So yeah… these are a thing. Not much has been said regarding these stylized figures of Batman and Superman made of wood. They certainly are a thing that exists though.DC wood_figure_bm

 

  • DC Collectibles Statues
    As always, fans can expect various statues from DC Collectibles over the course of the next year! Some you can expect this year include ‘DC Covergirls’ Katana, Batman Black & White ‘Zombie Batman’ and ‘DC Bombshells’ Zatanna, amongst others!DC cvr_girls_katana_12

 

  • Batman Utility Belt Replica
    And of course, the pièce de résistance, this 1:1 scale replica of Batman’s iconic Utility Belt! This epic collectible will be up for sale before the years end!
