When it comes redecorating, Line Rainville of Notre-Dame-des-Prairies, Quebec went where no man has gone before. She recreated parts of her basement to resemble the Enterprise from ‘Star Trek: The Original Series’.

Rainville has been a fan of ‘Star Trek’ ever since she was 9. When she was presented with an opportunity to build herself a home theater, she realized she wanted to recreate the Enterprise.

She worked with designers, built furniture, and of course hit up the internet for replica panel buttons, a tricorder and a 3D chess set. She also recreated some of the props including food replicators, utility piping, and Vulcan bells. Once completed, the rooms in  Rainville’s basement transformed into the Enterprise bridge, transporter room, recreation room, observation deck and Spock’s living quarters.

“At some points, I took so much time to find out the precise item that it seemed like an obsession,” Rainville told CNET. “I had put in so much energy seeking what I wanted that to accept failure is difficult, even to this day. Although people say they are impressed with the decor, I know well each inaccuracy, the exact places that I could improve.”

Well, if you take a look at the pictures, Rainville’s recreation of the Enterprise seems pretty accurate to me. She spent $30,000 all together for the project and plans on having a housewarming party, or should I say a shipwarming party.
