Comic book legend Stan Lee and famed science fiction writer Harlan Ellison are going to visit Springfield this Sunday on ‘The Simpsons’ in an episode that focuses on Comic Book Guy and is entitled ‘Married to the Blob’. The two legends play themselves in the episode, in which Comic Book Guy realizes that his comics aren’t everything when he meets a female Japanese manga creator and falls in love.
This is Lee’s second visit to the show, after 2002’s episode ‘I Am Furious Yellow’. As he jokes, “I was here 12 years ago, and I think I impressed them so that after 12 years, they figured they had to have me back.”
Ellison remarks, “Now, after writing over 100 books, I have reached the final stake of posterity by being included in ‘The Simpsons’.”
