Hmmm.  Is Jaimie Alexander toying with us?  Last week, the ‘Thor: The Dark World’ actress (she plays Sif, just in case you didn’t know) coyly spilled that she’d met with Warner Brothers regarding the movie ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ presumably for the mysterious tall, strong, athletic female role that no one is coming right out and specifying, which is leading to fans hoping that the mystery role is that of Wonder Woman.

Now, while on the red carpet to promote ‘Thor: The Dark World’ she sort of dodged the question, but ended up basically stating that the answer may actually lie in the fans’ hands.

Here’s what she had to say to MTV News’ Josh Horowitz:

I’ve been a huge fan of Wonder Woman since I was a little kid. So I’m absolutely flattered that a lot of people have chosen me as their fan choice. I think that is pretty epic, and incredibly humbling.”

Horowitz countered, “These things in recent years, the fans can get things started and they can actually come to pass, which is kind of a cool age we live in.”

To this, Alexander replied, “Yeah, that’s pretty incredible, we’ll see. That would be rad.”

Do you agree?  Would Jaimie Alexander as Wonder Woman be “rad?”  I think so!

Sadly, she wasn’t given much to do in ‘Thor: The Dark World’ but even in the scant few scenes she was in, she was commanding and exuded confidence and power.  I think she’s perfect for the role of the Amazon princess.

But then again, other names have surfaced in the running– Olga Kurylenko (‘Oblivion’), Gal Gadot (‘The Fast And The Furious’) and Elodie Yung (‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’).

But once again, there’s been no confirmation that the speculated role is actually that of Wonder Woman.  It’s possible the role could be a romantic interest for Batman or even a villain.  Either way, fans are hungry for any news about this project and the casting.  Hopefully, we’ll learn more as it grows closer.  (It doesn’t open until 2015!)

What do you think?  Would Jaimie Alexander make an impressive Amazon?  Or would one of the other proposed actresses be a better fit?  Or someone else entirely?  Comment below!
