There are still more season 4 casting for ‘Game of Thrones’ to be announced, and this is one that may seem a bit odd. Yuri Kolokolnikov, a Russian actor, will be playing his first English speaking role ever. But don’t despair, this may be his first role for the English speaking audience, but he has a lot of experience in his native country, having appeared in several feature films, as well as acting along side famous French actor, Gerard Depardieu, in “Rasputin”.

His part in ‘Game of Thrones’ will be Styr, Magnar of Thenn, who leads one of the Northern tribes of wildlings in the Battle of Castle Black (read more here for spoilers on the episode). By and large, it is a small part, but it should be exciting to see what the little unknown actor will bring to the role. Styr appears in the books ‘A Storm of Swords’ and ‘A Feast for Crows’.

He’s described in the book as being bald, so there is a chance Yuri Kolokolnikov will be losing those curly blonde locks. But then again, the series hasn’t been altogether true to character descriptions, so maybe we can expect to see him as is.

At the end of season three, you’ll remember that the wildling tribes were preparing to invade Westeros, with Jon Snow barely reaching the wall in time to warn of the breach. It may be a small part, but it looks like it is going to be a wild one as he will be mired in battles and skirmishes.
