With the film’s release under a month away, we are happy to have these new promotional stills for ‘Thor: The Dark World’ to show you. Clearly the advertising machine is kicking on as lately we’ve had 2 new posters, 2 new TV spots, another TV spot, and a little back and forth between Chris Hemsworth (‘Thor‘, ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’) and Tom Hiddleston (‘The Avengers‘) on Thor and Loki’s relationship. With that not being enough quite yet, we now have these 10 hi-res stills from the film and production for you to enjoy. I really should be sick of this marketing by now, but it’s hard not to enjoy every piece that Marvel keeps releasing.

So what do we have this time? A good look of Thor in battle, Jane not all that happy with Thor, Thor preparing for a fight, Malkeith the Dark Elf, a great shot of Loki, a shot of Loki about to be slapped by Jane as we’ve seen in the trailers, a set of helmets for the Asgardian warriors, the Asgard skyline, and two shots of the director showing the cast how he wants things and framing up a shot. All in all, a good mix of actual stills from the film and a couple of great behind the scenes shots.

While some of these images look familiar, as we’ve seen some of them in the trailers, we did get a few new ones and now that we have them all in hi-res, there’s a few choice pickings for desktop backgrounds in there. Are you happy with the production value of the early images so far? Eagerly awaiting that November 8th release date? Let us know your thoughts below!

‘Thor: The Dark World’ continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Directed by Alan Taylor, ‘Thor: The Dark World’ will be in theaters on November 8, 2013 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
