About a month ago, ABC officially gave the green light to Marvel Studios’ first live action show, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’, which features Clark Gregg as the once deceased Agent Phil Coulson. Since word got out of ‘The Avengers’ director Joss Whedon’s involvement and the creation of the pilot, fans knew that it was an inevitability that it would get picked up to series. After that news was confirmed, the next logical step would be a proper presentation at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Well, that step has just been made official too.

According to a press release from ABC, the head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb will appear alongside executive producer/writer/director Whedon for an ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ panel somewhere in the hallowed halls of the San Diego Convention Center. Naturally, surprises are to be expected, so you never know who or what will pop up when these two get together with a few hundred people. For all we know, Agent Coulson might even drop by like he did at last year’s New York Comic Con.

Not only will convention goers get a look at the upcoming series at the panel, but the show will also be spotlighted at Marvel’s booth and all throughout the con floor. For more information on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ at SDCC, here’s an excerpt from the press release:

On Friday, July 19, Marvel Television will introduce fans to their first live action television epic with their new ABC series, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” featuring a panel with executive producer Joss Whedon and Marvel’s Head of Television and series executive producer Jeph Loeb. The show will also be spotlighted at the Marvel Entertainment Booth on the Convention Center floor throughout the entire weekend, with special surprises to be announced!
