Robert Downey Jr. and the whole ‘Iron Man 3’ crew have been taking a world tour as of late to unveil the first film in Marvel’s Phase Two, but last night, they returned home to the states and had the premiere of the film in Los Angeles. With the film finally showing here in the States for the first time that means that the wide release isn’t too far away. However, that won’t stop the studio from releasing more new promotional material. With a little more than a week left until we can see Tony Stark onscreen once again, a new clip and some high-resolution stills have been released from the movie.

First up, Comic Book Movie has quite the collection of high quality images to share with the public featuring a good chunk of the cast. In the gallery below, you can see Don Cheadle, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, Ty Simpkins, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rebecca Hall and, of course, RDJ and the latest version of his Iron Man armor:

Then, while in the UK to promote his latest film, which is already in cinemas across the pond, Downey Jr. dropped in to visit Lorraine Kelly on her morning show to talk about traveling and working while maintaining a family and his future film projects, possibly including more Marvel movies. During the interview, we get to see a new clip where Tony and Rhodey meet some young admirers. Plus, not only do you get the new clip, but you can also get some of the veteran actor’s insights on his fellow ‘Iron Man 3’ cast members. You can check out the whole segment in the video below:

While the interview and these pictures are great, I’m just really looking forward to finally seeing this film. There’s been so much buzz surrounding it for quite some time now and I really want in on this action. Marvel changed the game when it came to superhero movies with the first ‘Iron Man’ and apparently they’re looking to do the same with ‘Iron Man 3’. Thank goodness that all the fans and I won’t have to wait much longer.

‘Iron Man 3’ starring Robert Downey Jr., Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall, and Guy Pearce opens on May 3, 2013.
