‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ is only a week away and Disney has released the final trailer and some B-roll footage from the film.

B-rolls are basically snippets of what goes on behind the scenes and showcases what actually goes on during the filming of a movie. There’s no voice-overs explaining what is being shown and usually this footage is what TV viewers see on shows like ‘omg Insider’ and ‘Entertainment Tonight’  during promotional movie interviews with celebrities. If you’ve never been on a movie set during filming before, B-rolls are a nice glimpse of how movie magic is done.

Considering how grandiose the film is, it’s very interesting to see how scenes were shot before all the magic of CGI and visual effects are put in.

After watching the B-rolls, you can then take a look at how everything comes together in the final trailer for the film before its release.

Will ‘Oz, the Great and Powerful’ be the next ‘Alice in Wonderland’ or will Disney have another ‘John Carter’ on its hands? We’ll soon know when the film is released on Friday, March 8th.

Synopsis:

Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well.
