Since he’s signed on to direct ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, Bryan Singer has been utilizing Twitter to drop exclusive news and announcements for his return to the franchise that he started back in 2000. Just like ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ director Marc Webb has been doing, Singer has been tweeting teaser photos as of late to show where they are in the process of filming. Though production doesn’t actually start in April, there’s still plenty to tweet about when it comes to the X-Men.
First, the director revealed on his personal Twitter page a few familiar chairs that belong to the same character in the X-universe over the course of his life. In the picture below, you can see that they’ve dug out Professor Charles Xavier’s wheelchairs from storage in preparation for Sir Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy to occupy them once again in the upcoming film:
Next, Singer shows off some set construction in another picture. Though it’s still very bare bones, this location should look familiar to fans of the X-Men movies. If you compare the picture below to the picture in the header, then you’ll definitely recognize this hallway. One thing we don’t know, however, is if it will be the one in the future or in the past. It’s a little too early to tell, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.
Finally, the director teased on Twitter that he and the cast of ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ would be making an appearance at the Mecca of pop culture this summer. He posted the following tweet that has fans very excited:
Who knows if he’ll show up with footage or details or more casting news or if ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ will even get their own panel at all? As history shows, San Diego Comic Con is the place to unveil secrets and make huge announcements, so with this film hitting theaters in 2014, it would be surprising if they didn’t make themselves known at this year’s con.
