Since last summer when filming started, we’ve been getting tons of set photos from James Mangold’s ‘The Wolverine’ starring Hugh Jackman as the wildcard of Charles Xavier’s X-Men. We’ve even gotten a few posters, an official image, and, more recently, a photo featuring Logan suiting up. Not in the blue and yellow we’re used to seeing him in either. An actual suit.  But now we know when we can expect the first video evidence of the follow-up to the horrendous ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’.

At first, many believed that the first trailer for ‘The Wolverine’ would be attached to ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’, which hits theaters this week. However, according to Collider, who spoke to Fox about the matter, we’re actually getting the first teaser trailer in late March. Mangold confirmed this as well on his personal Twitter account. Word is that the trailer will show in front of ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’. You can check out the tweets from the director below:

Now that we know when we’ll be seeing the first trailer, I can’t help but wonder what we’ll be seeing. Will we get a look at the villain, the Silver Samurai? What about this POW camp we’ve been hearing so much about? Our questions will be answered when promotion for the film starts next month. Until then, here’s the official synopsis of the film:

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

‘The Wolverine’ starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, and Brian Tee will be in theaters on July 26, 2013.
