When we last left AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ at the mid-season finale ‘Made to Suffer’, Rick made it to Woodbury with a small crew to rescue Maggie and Glenn, but things took a turn and the episode ended with Daryl and Merle taken captive by The Governor and his citizens. Earlier this month, we were treated to a clip of what happened next, but the 60-second clip was not enough to satisfy the legions of fans anxiously awaiting the return of the hit show.  We found a brand new trailer for the second half of season three that’s filled with new footage to show us what’s in store when the show returns next month.

Though this trailer is only a minute long as well, it does a great job of bringing the audience back into the world of ‘The Walking Dead’ and reminding them where things were left and where they’re going. Check it out below, followed by the network’s synopsis for the second half of the season:

With his group in tatters, his sanity in question, and his own son questioning his every move, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) must somehow pull everyone together to face their greatest challenge — the Governor (David Morrissey).  In order to survive, he must risk everything, including the group’s very humanity.

It really looks like business is about to pick up in the remaining episodes of showrunner Glen Mazzara’s final season in charge. Once season four starts, the show will be under the direction of Scott Gimple, so there shouldn’t be any obvious changes in the season from where we last left off.

What do you think about what’s coming up in the next half of this season? How intense do you think things between The Governor and Rick will get when the show hits airwaves again? Share your thoughts and predictions in the comments below!

‘The Walking Dead’ returns on February 10th with a new episode titled ‘The Suicide King’.
