After five seasons, ‘Fringe’, the fan-favorite Fox sci-fi series created by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci, is coming to a close. This Friday marks the series finale with a special two-hour block to send the show off as the remaining members of the Fringe team go head to head with the futuristic Observers.

Before the zero hour comes at the end of the week, Fox has released a two-minute trailer to preview the last episodes that will air. Narrated by John Noble’s Walter Bishop, the video sets up the team’s plan of action to save the world. Check out the trailer below:

Additionally, a poster has been released to commemorate the series finale. You can see the poster for the episodes titled ‘An Enemy of Fate’ and ‘Liberty’ below, followed by a synopsis for an ending that executive producer Abrams calls “highly unexpected, incredibly emotional and a fitting conclusion to the series”:

The acclaimed series that has explored the human condition through the prism of parallel universes, unexplainable phenomena and unimaginable threats, reaches a milestone 100th episode and comes to an epic and climatic conclusion. First, the Fringe team engages a desperate plan as Olivia embarks on a dangerous and otherworldly journey into the unknown. Then, Peter, Olivia, Walter, Astrid and Broyles face off against the Observers in one final and extraordinary battle for the fate of mankind.
