Seven months ago, Edgar Wright announced that he would be working on the third and final film of the ‘Blood & Ice Cream’ or ‘Cornetto’ Trilogy. Titled ‘The World’s End’, this final film starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, and Eddie Marsan follows a group of friends that reunite for a legendary pub crawl that ends at a bar called The World’s End. There, they’re met with more than stories of glory days and some pints. According to a previous report, that something more might entail musical numbers and zombies.

Last Friday, principal photography wrapped on the movie, so in celebration Pegg tweeted the first official photograph from the production. It doesn’t give much away other than the ‘Hot Fuzz’ and ‘Shaun of the Dead’ star’s fairly ridiculous look, but it does provide us a good look at our leading men, including Freeman who’s sure to gain a lot more buzz now that ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ is out in theaters. Check out the photo below courtesy of /Film, followed by a synopsis of the film:

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Pegg), a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

‘The World’s End’ is coming on October 25, 2013 despite whatever the Mayans predicted.
