Yesterday, it was revealed that the script for ‘Transformers 4’ was leaked and it featured some of the most popular characters in the franchise like Unicron and the Dinobots. Then, Michael Bay responded to the leak by stating that whatever script leaked was not for his movie. Now, it appears that the director is flip-flopping and saying that what leaked was a legitimate ‘Transformers’ script after all.

In another statement on his official website, Bay realized what that leaked script could be. After saying that his script isn’t even finished yet, he says:

“I bet it is something from Hasbro. This time they are not doing a comic book of the movie because we want to keep our story under wraps. It must be their version of a comic themed Transformers story they are creating.”

That makes a lot of sense because, let’s be honest here: It was too good to be true that Michael Bay and ‘Revenge of the Fallen’ and ‘Dark of the Moon’ writer Ehren Kruger would be delivering so much awesome stuff that would make Transformers fans happy in this fourth movie. Plus, the intricacies of the story in the leaked script would probably work better in comic book arc rather than in one of Bay’s films. With all the explosions and robot fights, there won’t be enough time for all that story.

Maybe it’s better if Bay stays away from the Dinobots anyway…
