Two days before ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ hits theaters, Warner Bros. has released a new clip of Thorin Oakenshield and his band of dwarves singing “Over the Misty Mountains Cold.”
The song was first heard in the trailer for the film and since then, the haunting melody of “Misty Mountains” has seemed to epitomize the dangerous quest the dwarves and Bilbo will embark upon. While the trailer only had a snippet of the song, the entire scene from which it came from, can now be viewed below.
Although this is one of the more somber scenes in the movie, it was beautifully filmed. The music will have probably have more impact once the backstory of the meaning of the song is revealed, but none the less, the clip is as enjoyable to watch as was the one where Gandalf gives Bilbo his sword.
