Over the weekend at Baltimore Comic Con, I had the pleasure of interviewing some of the biggest names in the comic book industry today. One I have to share with you is with Marvel SVP-Executive Editor Tom Brevoort.

Earlier in the weekend, we found out a bunch of new information about what the House of Ideas has in store for the coming months at the Marvel NOW panel. Here in this interview, we talk about a variety of topics including more on the conclusion of AvX, the new series ‘A+X’, the beginning of Marvel NOW, some books worth picking up (besides all the ones he’s involved in), and more.

One particularly interesting part of the interview is when we start talking about his internet presence and the ways that he and other creators keep in touch with fans that way. Brevoort compares it to Stan Lee’s letters pages and college engagements of 1964, saying that both methods were created to interact with fans on a more personal level, and his internet presence is an extension of that same idea.

And for all you fans looking to get into the comic book industry, we talk about one particular way that seemed to work for a number of staff at Marvel today.
