Production is in full swing across the pond as filming for the Disney film ‘Maleficent’ continues. In the past week we’ve seen the first look of Angelina Jolie in the lead role as Maleficent and some set photos from the film. Now we have photos of Jolie during some stuntwork.
Jolie is no stranger to doing her own stunts as she has revealed in the past how much she enjoys the work while filming the Lara Croft movies. In the photos below, it looks like the scene will involve some major high flying action on Jolie’s part as she is hooked up with some harnesses and brought up to height by a crane.
‘Maleficent’ centers on the story of the magical enchantress Maleficent and the events that hardened her heart and lead her to curse the baby Aurora. Jolie has said, the character is “far from perfect” and it would be interesting to see how Disney twists the story of the “Mistress of All Evil” and make her relatable to the audiences. After seeing ‘Wicked,’ I now see ‘The Wizard of Oz’ in a different light. I wonder if Maleficent will do the same for ‘Sleeping Beauty?’
