This morning, Sony Pictures teased fans with a couple of images of The Lizard from director Mark Webb’s upcoming ‘Amazing Spider-Man’. As cool as those pictures were, they were really nothing more than fodder to hold rabid Spidey fans over until the new trailer was to be unveiled on Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’ at tonight’s midnight showings.

Well wait no more, web-heads! Sony just released the new ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ trailer in all it’s action-packed, Lizard-filled, Spidey-quipping glory and it lives up to the title of the film… It’s simply amazing!

It’s got everything that a Spider-Man fan could have ever hoped for! Spider-Man battles both his villain (The Lizard) and the NYPD who view Spidey as a vigilante. He struggles to manage his life as Peter Parker with that of costumed crimefighter and we finally get to see more of that trademark Spider-Man humor that Sam Raimi’s trilogy was so severely lacking.

Now, before I get started on another tangent and can’t stop myself from gushing, I’ll leave you with the pure ecstasy of the new ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ the trailer…

‘Amazing Spider-Man’ is directed by Marc Webb, stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, and Dennis Leary. It swings into theaters in 2D, 3D, IMAX, and IMAX 3D on July 3, 2012.

Hope doc ock and Norman Osborn are working together in the sequel, then for the third have Kraven working for the S.W.A.T ro bring in spiderman and hva ehim need a new edge to bring down spiderman and osborn scientist give him what he needs, also use mysterio in the film cause spiderman many downfalls, in the fourth film i would concentrate on Venom and Carnage story line. also would love to see The Scorpion and Rhino mutants somehow as smaller roled side villains.

Looks quite awesome, it took marvel years to learn how to make films of their heroes but in the end it paid off pretty well….
