When the CW network likes you, they really like you and you’ll find yourself working in other projects for the network. It’s already reported that Kristin Kreuk (‘Smallville’) will be returning to the network. Now add Austin Basis to that list.
Basis has just landed a role on the CW’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ reboot. No, he won’t be playing the Beast but instead his best friend named T.J. that knows his secret and happens to be his roommate who helps him hide from society.
Basis is well known to ‘Supernatural’ fans as Kenny Spruce from the ‘Ghostfacers’ episode. The episode produced a spin off called ‘Ghostfacers’ which became a 10 episode web series in 2010. Basis is also known for his work as Math Rogers in the series ‘Life Unexpected.’
So now we have Catherine and the best friend. We’re still waiting to hear who will play the important Beast part, aka Vincent. If you continue the pattern that has been set by the CW, which CW alumni would you like to see in the part?
